I was to understand that the requirement for laminated windows on tall condos is such. 0 to 30 ft large impact. 30ft to 60ft small impact glass. Above 60ft I assumed you did not need impact laminated glass. These buildings are not if the HVHZ. They are on the barrier islands of north east fl. 120 mph zone. Above 60ft I have used 1/4 tempered glass. I pull a permit on all jobs and have passed all inspections. But today the inspector thought that the whole building needs to be impact if over 60ft.
