FYI...The message below is from Margi Leddin at ICC.  Earlier this
morning I sent message to DCA requesting information about the changes
to FBC online.  I was concerned that we might have to subscribe to
eCodes Premium in order to get a more usable format for FBC online when
things change later this month.  (Right now, there is limited-time
access to eCodes Premium but things will change on November 25th.)
Please keep in mind that the State provides free access to the Florida
Building Codes.  We all need to be apprecative of this...most especially
those of us that take advantage of this free service.
 
(Note: Some of you may receive this message twice.  I posted this on the
BOAF DG as well.)

The short answer is, no - you do not need to subscribe.

 

If you connect through the state link, we are offering users
limited-time access to the eCodes Premium subscription version, showing
all of the features that are available with a subscription. The
"standard" Florida free site will be posted on November 25, with the
usual search capabilities intact. It will not have the rest of the
Premium features, such as document comparison, annotation boxes, etc. If
you decide you like the Premium version, you may subscribe through
www.ecodes.biz <http://www.ecodes.biz/> .
