Charette for Existing Hotels
       
        The Florida Building Commission will host a design charette on
Monday, December 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the 
Embassy Suites Hotel located at 3705 Spectrum Drive in Tampa.  Many
hotels were constructed prior to the enactment of 
accessibility codes and experience many problems trying to make guest
rooms more accessible and functional for 
everyone.  Four teams of architects, interior decorators, building
officials, persons with disabilities and representatives of 
the hospitality industry will prepare designs for modifying guest rooms
with multiple configurations and budgets.  All 
interested parties are invited to observe the process and attend the
design presentations at the conclusion of the three 
hour design period.  For further information, please contact the DCA
