Hello All, I have a question about securing the large transformers (large green boxes) to the slab they sit on. The power company says it does not bolt these to the slab even though the box does have bolt flanges at the bottom for bolting. I'm trying to find something (code or otherwise) that states the requirement to actually use the supplied bolt holes to secure the transformer to the slab. The power company just says that because it weighs 2,000 lbs it's not going anywhere and thus they don't bolt it. I guess using that rationale then we don't need to bolt houses down to the foundation. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
