The amendments will be implemented by the 2007 Florida Building Code effective March 1, 2009. A rule workshop on amendments to the 2007 Florida Building Code, to fix publication errors, unintended consequences of the new code, conflicts between codes, etc, was conducted. The final hearing on these amendments will be conducted at the Commission meeting December 10, 2008. The amendments will be posted on the Commissions website for free download and will take effect with the 2007 Florida Building Code on March 1, 2009. A rule workshop was conducted on education rule 9B-70 to modify internet based forms required for course and course accreditor approvals. Adoption of the 2008 National Electrical Code during the current code amendment proceeding was deliberated. The Commission decided to conduct a due-diligence review of the new edition with a target of July 2009 for its implementation. Action: Modifying action previously taken to include vertical accessibility to all levels within the rooms. 2. Kamakura, Inc. Issue: Providing an accessible entrance to an existing building undergoing an alteration. Action: Denied. No additional response from applicant. 3. Cobb Theatre 14 at Daytona Live Issue: Vertical accessibility to all rows of seats in a 14 screen movie theater complex. Action: Approved. 4.
