the chemicals in the new pressure treated wood will react with the zinc  
coating or aluminum, and will cause the nails to corrode, and they will  
eventually disin () tegrate. hot dipped galvanized ( as  opposed to electroplate 
galvanized) will work fine, as well as stainless steel  siding nails. if its 
old pressure treated lumber, (the chemicals were different  until about 2 
years ago) electro galvanized will work, but aluminum will  not.
