Considered and approved staff recommendation for the 2010 Florida Building Code development and adoption schedule (initiate 12/2009 and implement 1/2012). Selected the 2009 International Codes as the "foundation" for the 2010 FBC. Approved certification to the US Department of Energy that Florida's current energy code for commercial buildings is 15% more stringent than the national standard designated by DOE. Approved the report on Florida's Energy Code and regulated utility company energy conservation programs to be transmitted to the Florida Energy and Climate Commission. Urbana Retail Tenant Building Issue: Vertical accessibility to n open air rooftop parking area. Action: Amend action previously taken to have the Final Order reflect the conditions that the applicant is to provide one additional parking space on the roof and to petition the City to provide additional on street parking. 2. Winter Haven Fire Safety Complex Issue: Vertical accessibility to the second floor of a fire station and accessibility to firefighters toilet rooms. Action: Deny, based on Department of Justice letter that all levels of fire stations must be accessible. 3. Dick Brown Park - Dave Manzo Field. Issue: Vertical accessibility to all rows of seats in two bleacher systems at a baseball field. Action: Dismiss without prejudice for lack of sufficient information. 4. Italia Villa Hotel Issue: Vertical accessibility to the second floor of a historic building undergoing an alteration. Action: Grant, based on demonstration of extreme hardship and negative impact to the historic character of the building. 5. FAU/UF Joint Use Facility Issue: Vertical accessibility to all tiers of seats in a university classroom. Action: Grant, based on demonstration of extreme hardship and technical infeasibility. 6.
