The new standard is the ISBHS "Guidelines for Hurricane Resistant
Construction". Contact Jeff Hyde at our office for any form or checklist
that you might need. I assume you have had the required 3 day training
on the old SSTD1099. If not, you will need to obtain it in order to use
the standard.

Jeff is currently teaching the course right now so he won't be available
until next week.

Please go to our website under "CI-Certified" for available class dates
if you need training.

Subject: [Florida Code Talk] Design by Contractor

I have done my own drawings on a bunch of homes prior to the housing
bust, and they were all designed by 1099 standards and language. I have
not done one since the codes have changed. Can anyone help me with what
the current design standard and necessary language that is required on
the cover page of the drawings. The project I have coming up is
residential and not on a barrier island, and I want to do Contractor
sealed drawings.
