Assuming Hernando County follows the NFIP guidelines, I would suggest you consult the FEMA 499. In short, The HVAC appliances and components should be installed ABOVE the design flood elevation and on the leeward side of the structure. Also, be sure the outdoor equipment is anchored per M1307 provisions. As always, check with the local building department for guidance and local requirements. You may also want to consult the owner's insurance policy regarding protection requirements to ensure full compliance. Bryan P. I was wondering if anyone knows the minimum hieght for the elevated condensor slab. All I can find in code is that flood zone items are refered to the local authority.
