Last I knew, yes, could and has been widely used on island venting but must
have free air space. And vertical clearance. BUT, you know how it goes in
Florida, depends if someone got up on the right side of the bed or not.

Hello,

Check out these two articles of the FPC. Article 913 Island Fixture
Venting and/or Article 917 Air Admittance Valves.

For 1&2 Family Dwellings, see Articles P3112 for Island Fixture Venting
and/or P3114 Air Admittance Valves of the FBC-R.

Have a great day,

Do you mean a Studor vent?

If I remember correctly they are allowed as long as they are not the first
vent in a riser.

Been a few years since I spec'd one.

Are auto vents allowed in residential kitchen plumbing applications (like
islands)? Seems like I remember they are allowed in commercial and not
residential or vice versa. If so, is this the best option for venting an
island sink?

Thanks,

Ken
