Proposed Code Modifications to the 2010 Draft Florida Building Code

This is to let you know that Friday, March 5 at 10:00 am, we will be
holding a conference call chat session regarding proposed code
modifications.  This is to give everyone the opportunity to address any
issues you might be having in any of the steps of submitting a proposed
code modification and to answer any questions regarding the code mod
module.

>From the list of mods submitted so far we have noticed the following:

1)      Related mods – Incorrect use of this text box.   This box should
only be used to reference a related mod number not a code section.

2)      Using uploads in lieu of a description or text in the required
text box – It is very important that you use the text box to present
your subject.

3)      Not using base documents as the base for mod submittal.  Please
use the base documents found at this address to structure your mod:

We will address all of your concerns so bring your questions.   Please

Patch for the 2009 Supplement to the 2007 FBC CD-Rom is now available

2009 “Supplement” to the 2007 Florida Building Code updates are
available for your CD-Rom versions of the code.  On your computer, just
go to Start è Programsè  I-Quest 2007 Florida Codes è Check for updates,
and then click “Check for Updates”.  Your updates should begin
downloading from the ICC system.  If you have any troubles with this
patch please contact the ICC at 1-888-ICC-SAFE (1-888-422-7233).
