Bob As always, you eloquently wrote a good response. I hope you don't mind. I sent your response to all my reps. and signed my name.. Thanks for the hard work... I would just like to know where the H.... our GC Association like AGC, ABC and set forth are.. And why are they letting Legislature keep taking big bites out of our licensing scope.. Why do you pay them 1,500.00 per year plus for membership?????????????? Tom Ricci BT Builders Inc 954-214-4448 In a message dated 3/5/2010 4:04:12 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Bob at contractorsinstitute.com writes: READ THIS! – YOU MAY BE ABOUT TO LOSE SOME OF YOUR WORK ABILITIES AS A CONTRACTOR!!!!! Fellow General, Building and Residential Contractors; We currently are on the cusp of losing the ability to perform home inspections, mold assessment and mold remediation services under our license scopes, even though we are the largest group that have been performing these services in the past without incident or problems. House Bill 713 is currently under review and if we all contact our legislators and make our wishes known in mass we can protect our contracting interests and more importantly, protect Florida consumers against overcharges born from reduced competition. Please go to www.myfloridaCode.com and click on the legislative link OR CLICK HERE: _http://myfloridacode.com/legislative.html_ (http://myfloridacode.com/legislative.html) for a complete discussion and recommended changes to the statute and House Bill 713 that will protect our interests. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO REVIEW THESE IMPORTANT CHANGES! If you do not know your representative’s names then go to _http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/_ (http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/) and look them up. Contact their offices for their e-mail. Tell them you want them to amend Florida's statutes 468 parts XV and XVI to incorporate the changes outlined at _http://myfloridacode.com/legislative.html_ (http://myfloridacode.com/legislative.html) R.J.Koning - Director Contractors Institute _rjkoning at contractorsinstitute.com_ (mailto:rjkoning at contractorsinstitute.com) 8301 Joliet Street Hudson, Fl 34667 727-863-5147 _______________________________________________ CodeTalk mailing list CodeTalk at myfloridacode.com Unsubscribe by sending an email to codetalk-unsubscribe at myfloridacode.com or Unsubscribe or change your options at: http://myfloridacode.com/mailman/listinfo/codetalk -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
