MessageCan someone outside the building open a door and enter the enclosure or is that exterior door for exit onl;y? If normal wheelchair traffic can travel both directions then yes it must meet Chapter 11 for both sides of the door. jmho, glen mast MAST DRAFTING AND DESIGN ----- Original Message ----- From: Rob Harrell To: BOAF Discussion Group ; CodeTalk Sent: Friday, May 14, 2010 9:24 AM Subject: [Florida Code Talk] Door into Stair Enclosure (Accessibility)(Maneuvering Clearances) Good Morning All, I will appreciate feedback from DG. Plans for building show that path of travel to required exit at 1st story of building will be through a door in stair enclosure from 2nd story. Are the maneuvering clearances noted in section 11-4.13.6 of FBCB required on both sides of this door...or just the side of door where a person enters the enclosure? I have heard different opinions on this issue. What say ye?
